WSP Whole House Arsenic Reduction System

Arsenic has no color, taste or smell, so a water test is the only way to know it is in your well. If your test comes back above the EPA limit of 10 parts per billion, this system treats every tap in the house with a media made to grab arsenic. It needs no electricity, no salt and no backwash, and it sends no water down a drain.

What comes in the box

• Nelsen NFS-HF cartridge tank: a black 8" x 40" pressure vessel with a pressure-relief cap and 1-1/4" connections at the bottom. It is 100% non-metallic, so no metal touches your water.
• Arsenic removal cartridge: filled with ATOMUS® mixed-metal adsorbent media, rated for both arsenic III and arsenic V.
• 20" Big Blue sediment pre-filter: a 20-micron spun polypropylene cartridge that catches dirt and rust first, so the arsenic media lasts longer.
• Built-in bypass with 3/4" NPT elbow or straight connectors, no gluing needed. Switch to bypass to keep water flowing in the house while you service the tank.
• 3/8" John Guest® drain shut-off on the inlet side, for draining the tank and flushing out trapped sediment when you change the cartridge.

Media benefits

• Binds both forms of arsenic (III and V) as water passes through, and holds it so it does not wash back out.
• Also reduces lead, chromium, vanadium, phosphate and silica.
• The media is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for drinking-water contact.
• Uses no chemicals and needs no regeneration. It adds no taste, odor or color.
• Works across a pH range of 5.5 to 9.5.

How it works

Water passes through the sediment pre-filter first, then through the arsenic cartridge inside the tank, and on to the rest of the house. When the cartridge is spent, you release the snap ring, lift the cap and swap the cartridge. No tools are needed.

How it compares

• Against backwashing arsenic tanks: there is no control valve to power or program, and no backwash water going to a drain. You replace a cartridge instead of re-bedding loose media.
• Against under-sink arsenic filters: this treats showers, laundry and every faucet, not just one kitchen tap.
