A flow meter is what makes metered, demand-initiated regeneration possible: it counts the gallons actually used so the valve regenerates based on real consumption rather than a fixed timer, which saves salt and water over the life of the system. The plastic body resists corrosion in continuous treated-water service, and the extended 15-foot cable reaches control heads mounted well away from the meter body on a large skid. Install it in the correct flow orientation on a 1.5-inch line, keeping the required straight pipe run ahead of it, then route the cable back to the valve's meter input.
