Clear sediment and turbidity from your water

Sand, silt, clay, and fine grit make water look cloudy or leave it gritty, and they wear out valves, clog fixtures, and foul downstream equipment like softeners and RO membranes. Turbidity — the cloudiness caused by suspended particles — is common in wells and surface-influenced supplies, and clearing it is often the first step in any treatment train.

Self-cleaning whole-house filtration

Rather than a cartridge you must keep replacing, this system uses a backwashing filter that captures particles and then flushes them to drain automatically. That means clear water without the recurring cost and hassle of changing clogged cartridges.

How it works

Water flows down through a graded filter media bed that traps sediment while letting clear water pass. On a scheduled backwash the flow reverses, lifting and rinsing the bed to carry the captured particles to drain, then the bed re-settles ready for service. The right media and tank size depend on your particle load and flow rate.

Why treat sediment first

  • Protects downstream gear: keeps grit out of softeners, filters, and RO units.
  • No cartridges to buy or change.
  • Sized to your water: heavier loads need more capacity.

Tell us about your source and flow rate and we will confirm the configuration. Ships free in the US with manuals and knowledgeable support so cloudy, gritty water becomes clear and your other equipment lasts longer.

Where turbidity comes from

Cloudy, gritty water can stem from fine clay and silt in the aquifer, from surface water infiltrating a well after heavy rain, or from aging, sediment-laden distribution lines. Beyond the appearance, suspended particles scour valves, clog aerators and cartridges, and shorten the life of softeners and RO membranes downstream, which is why sediment removal usually comes first in a treatment train.

Set-and-forget clarity

The self-backwashing design means you are not constantly buying and swapping clogged cartridges; the system rinses itself on schedule and keeps flowing. We match the media and tank to your particle load and flow rate, provide the manuals to install it as the lead stage of your system, and support you in protecting everything downstream from grit.
