Autotrol Acidic Water + Hard Water (Well) System — a complete two-stage Autotrol system: calcite neutralizer followed by a water softener, each on its own genuine Autotrol automatic control valve. One price covers the entire staged build, shipped free — not a single component.

Everything included — both complete stages

Stage 1 — Calcite Neutralizer: genuine Autotrol 263 backwashing control valve, its own FRP filter cylinder, and a full load of calcite with a Corosex blend. It raises low pH FIRST to stop corrosion and blue-green staining (must precede softening).

Stage 2 — Water Softener: a genuine Autotrol metered softening valve, its own resin cylinder, a full load of high-capacity cation softening resin, plus the brine tank and first fill of salt-saver resin. It removes the calcium & magnesium hardness that scales pipes, water heaters and fixtures.

How the two stages work together

Water hits Stage 1 first — the calcite neutralizer raises low pH FIRST to stop corrosion and blue-green staining (must precede softening). It then flows into Stage 2, where the water softener removes the calcium & magnesium hardness that scales pipes, water heaters and fixtures. Treating in this order is what keeps the softening resin clean and the whole system low-maintenance.
