- Targets Uranium. It's filled with ResinTech SBG2-HP, a high-purity Type 2 strong base anion resin made for removing contaminants like uranium from drinking water. Anion resin in the chloride form reduces uranium by more than 90%.
- Low Taste and Odor Risk. Type 2 anion resins are less prone to taste and odor than Type 1 resins, and SBG2-HP is WQA Gold Seal certified for drinking water.
- Digital Metered Control. The Fleck 5600 SXT tracks the water your home uses, and its large backlit LCD shows time of day, water remaining, and days until the next regeneration.
- Set Up for Uranium Resin. Anion resin is lighter than softener resin, so the backwash and salt settings are matched to it, and the valve regenerates at least once a month as uranium resin guidance recommends.
- Settings That Survive Outages. Programming is stored in memory and won't be lost in a power outage, and the clock keeps time with up to 48 hours of backup power.
- Time-Tested Valve Design. The 5600 uses Fleck's hydraulically balanced piston, seal, and spacer design in a fiber-reinforced polymer body that won't corrode.
- Test First, Pair if Needed. This system removes uranium, but it doesn't soften water or remove radium. If your test also shows hard water or radium, pair it with one of our water softeners. It works best when your water's pH is 6 or higher.
- Complete System. It includes the 5600 SXT valve, a black polyglass mineral tank filled with uranium resin, a 3/4" stainless steel bypass, and a brine tank with a brine safety valve (15x17 on S and M, 18x33 on L). Just add plumbing adapters.
