How it works

The valve draws a pocket of air into the top of the tank. Water passes through the air, which oxidizes iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide into particles, and the media bed filters them out. Every day the valve backwashes the bed, sends the trapped particles to drain and refreshes the air pocket.

Media benefits

  • Removes dissolved iron: clear water with no orange or brown stains
  • Protects fixtures, laundry, water heaters and appliances
  • Daily automatic backwash sends the trapped iron to drain
  • Air injection oxidizes iron, manganese and sulfur with plain air, so no chemicals or chlorine are added

The NWS Control Flow AIO 14"x65" Iron System is the largest residential iron filter in the range, engineered for big homes, heavy iron loads, or properties with high simultaneous water demand. Its 14" x 65" polyglass tank holds 3-1/2 cubic feet of iron-reduction media for maximum whole-house capacity and flow.

Treatment is chemical-free, relying on air injection oxidation. A maintained air pocket converts dissolved iron into filterable particles, the deep media bed captures them, and Control Flow Technology meters backwash to actual household usage. The system regenerates only when needed, flushing iron to drain and renewing the air cushion, with no salt, chlorine, or potassium permanganate to buy or store.

  • Maximum-capacity 3-1/2 cubic feet of iron media
  • 14" x 65" black polyglass mineral tank
  • 1" NWS metered control valve with Control Flow Technology
  • Base media and bypass valve included
  • Plumbing adapters selected separately
  • Approximate shipping weight: 224 lbs

Top-Tier Flow Capacity

The wide 14-inch diameter and tall 65-inch body deliver the highest service flow rates in the residential iron lineup, making this system suitable for large families, multi-bath homes, or wells with severe iron staining. Installed at the point of entry, it protects plumbing, water heaters, and fixtures throughout the property from rust buildup and discoloration. Supplied by Water Softener Plus, the unit arrives nearly complete — just add the plumbing adapters that match your connections — for powerful, salt-free, low-maintenance iron control across the whole home.

Before installation, it is worth testing your water to confirm iron concentration and pH, since air injection performs best within typical residential ranges. Position the unit on a level surface near your main supply line and a suitable drain, and allow clearance above the tank so the control valve can be serviced. Many installers pair an AIO iron filter with a downstream sediment filter or softener for the most polished result, and this platform integrates easily into such a treatment train.

As part of the Water Softener Plus catalog of well-water treatment equipment, this unit is chosen and assembled to deliver consistent, real-world results, helping you protect your plumbing investment while enjoying noticeably better water at every fixture in the house.
