How it works

Greensand Plus oxidizes dissolved iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide and traps the particles in the bed. On its schedule the valve backwashes the bed and sends the trapped iron to drain. Very high iron or sulfur may need an oxidizer such as chlorine ahead of the filter; send a water test and we will confirm.
