Descripción
For high-demand homes and light-commercial sites that cannot tolerate hard-water interruptions, the NWS15 120K Twin Alternating system from Nelsen Water Solutions delivers continuous soft water around the clock. Two 120,000-grain mineral tanks work in tandem so that while one tank regenerates, the other stays in service, ensuring soft water is always available even during peak use or overnight cycles. This twin design eliminates the gap in protection that single-tank softeners experience while they regenerate.
Built for nonstop soft water
Each tank runs a Nelsen Water Solutions 1-1/2" time-clock control with commercial distributors, a supporting gravel bed for even flow distribution, and high-capacity softening resin. A 1-1/2" stainless steel electronic meter measures actual water usage, and a Nelsen 1-1/2" MAV (Motorized Alternating Valve) handles the switchover between tanks so the changeover is automatic and seamless. The result is demand-based operation that regenerates only as capacity is consumed, rather than running on a fixed clock.
- Two 120,000-grain mineral tanks in twin alternating configuration
- 1-1/2" lead-free brass valve body, metered operation
- Continuous soft water with no downtime during regeneration
- 1-1/2" stainless steel electronic meter for demand-based regen
- Nelsen 1-1/2" MAV motorized alternating valve
- Commercial brine tank with Nelsen 484 safety valve, air check, overflow elbow, 5" brine well and cap
The included commercial brine tank arrives fully equipped with a Nelsen 484 commercial safety valve, an air check to guard against air entering the system, an overflow elbow, and a 5" brine well with cap. Because demand-initiated metering triggers regeneration only on real consumption, the system conserves both salt and water compared with timer-only units. Sizing should match your measured hardness and daily flow, and routine salt refills keep the system performing. For properties that need genuinely uninterrupted softening capacity, this Nelsen twin-alternating system is engineered to keep up day in and day out.
A water softener works by ion exchange: hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium are swapped for sodium on the resin bed as water passes through, and the resin is later recharged with brine during regeneration. Softened water protects plumbing and water heaters from scale, improves the performance of soap and detergent, and leaves fixtures and glassware noticeably cleaner. Matching the system grain capacity to your household hardness and water use is the single biggest factor in efficient, trouble-free operation.
