Fleck Control Valves and Accessories: Precision Components for Reliable Water Treatment Systems

The Fleck Control Valves and Accessories collection features essential parts and components designed to enhance, repair, or customize Fleck water softening and filtration systems. Known for their durability and precise control, Fleck valves are widely used in residential and commercial water treatment units. This collection includes yoke assemblies, power heads, timers, injector brine tanks, and specialized accessories all engineered to maintain optimal system performance and longevity.

How Fleck Control Valves Work

Fleck control valves serve as the operational heart of water softeners and filtration systems, managing the flow of water through the resin or filter media during regeneration and service cycles. These valves coordinate the timing and direction of water through stages such as backwash, brine draw, rinse, and service. Accessories like yoke assemblies and motor cables connect the valve to tanks and power supplies, enabling smooth, automated operation.

Many Fleck valves, such as the 5600 and 9000 series, incorporate advanced digital timers and powerheads that optimize regeneration schedules based on water usage or fixed intervals. This ensures efficient softening or filtration and minimizes water waste. Components like the 6 yoke assemblies and nickel-plated sweat yokes provide secure connections to tanks ranging from 6 to 10 inches in diameter, supporting a variety of system sizes.

How to Choose the Right Fleck Control Valve and Accessories

Identify Your System Model: Fleck valves and parts are often model-specific. Match parts like powerheads, timers, and yokes to your existing valve model (e.g., 5600, 9000, 2900). Check your system documentation or valve label to confirm compatibility.
Consider Tank Size and Connection Type: Yoke assemblies and bases come in different sizes and connection types such as 1-inch or 3/4-inch plastic quick-connect yokes or nickel-plated sweat yokes. Choosing the correct size ensures leak-free installation and proper valve mounting.
Power Requirements: Some powerheads and motor assemblies operate on 24 volts or require specific cabling lengths. Confirm your system’s power supply specs before selecting replacement electronic components.
Specialized Accessories: Items like the Fleck 500 Hot Water Air Check Valve are designed for particular applications, such as preventing air intrusion in hot water systems. Brine tanks with injectors and advanced timers with multi-channel injector capabilities can enhance regeneration efficiency in complex systems.

Sizing and Compatibility Considerations

Fleck control valves and accessories are designed to fit standard tank diameters commonly used in water treatment—most notably 6 to 10 inches in diameter. The 6 yoke assemblies support these sizes, providing a robust mechanical connection between the valve and tank.

When selecting yokes and bases, it is important to differentiate between plastic quick-connect versions and nickel-plated sweat yokes. Plastic quick-connect yokes simplify installation with snap-in fittings, while nickel-plated sweat yokes require soldering but offer enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.

Electrical components like motor cables and power heads must match the system’s voltage and connector type. For example, the Fleck 5600 powerhead assemblies and corresponding motor cables are designed to work together, ensuring seamless communication between the control valve and the timer mechanism.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I replace just the powerhead on my Fleck 5600 valve?

A: Yes, the Fleck 5600 powerhead and motor assemblies are sold separately in this collection, allowing you to replace worn or malfunctioning electronic components without changing the entire valve body.

Q: What is the difference between a plastic quick-connect yoke and a nickel-plated sweat yoke?

A: Plastic quick-connect yokes offer fast and tool-free installation by snapping onto the valve and tank, ideal for ease of maintenance. Nickel-plated sweat yokes require soldering to copper pipes or fittings but provide superior corrosion resistance and mechanical strength for long-term durability.

Q: Are the Fleck timers compatible with all Fleck valve models?

A: Timers such as the NXT2 series are compatible with specific Fleck valves and are often paired with multi-channel injectors and brine tanks for advanced regeneration control. Always verify timer compatibility with your valve model before purchase to ensure correct operation.
