Stop Orange Iron & Rust Stains at the Main Water Line
Complete 10" × 54" AIO Katalox whole-house system — $1,599.99 USD. Free U.S. shipping.
Why orange stains keep coming back
When dissolved iron is present in well water, exposure to oxygen can convert it into visible iron particles that leave orange, reddish-brown, or rust-colored staining. Cleaning the fixture removes the symptom, but it does not remove the iron entering the home. A point-of-entry treatment system treats the water before it is distributed to toilets, sinks, tubs, laundry, and other fixtures.
The complete treatment system
This Water Softener Plus configuration combines a 10" × 54" Enpress Vortech mineral tank, Fleck 2510SXT automatic air-injection control valve, Katalox Light filtration media with support bed, and 3/4" bypass valve. It is a complete treatment system, not a head-only offer.
The AIO cycle maintains an air pocket inside the tank. Incoming water contacts that air, supporting oxidation of dissolved iron. The Katalox Light bed then filters oxidized material, and the automatic valve periodically backwashes the bed. The iron-filtration process does not require salt.
Confirm the water before sizing treatment
A current water test is recommended before purchasing. Iron concentration, manganese, hydrogen-sulfide odor, pH, peak household flow and the well pump's available backwash flow can all affect whether this exact 10" × 54" configuration is appropriate. Hardness is a separate water problem: this AIO iron filter is not an ion-exchange softener.
Questions & Answers
What causes orange stains in toilets and sinks?
Dissolved iron can oxidize and form orange, red or brown deposits after the water is exposed to air.
Is this the entire system or just the control head?
It is the complete system: 10" × 54" tank, Fleck 2510SXT AIO valve, Katalox Light media/support bed and bypass valve.
How does AIO iron filtration work?
The control cycle maintains air in the treatment tank for oxidation. The media bed filters oxidized material and is automatically backwashed to remove accumulated material.
Can it treat sulfur odor and manganese too?
AIO/Katalox systems are used in iron, manganese and hydrogen-sulfide applications, but suitability depends on the actual water chemistry. A water test should determine whether one system can address the combination present at the home.
Does this system soften hard water?
No. If hardness reduction is needed, use a properly sized softener as a separate treatment stage.
Does the iron filter need salt?
No salt is used for the iron-filtration process. It uses air oxidation and automatic backwashing.
Where is it installed?
It is installed at the point of entry on the main water line, with the required drain, electrical supply and sufficient pressure/backwash flow.
How do I know whether 10" × 54" is the correct size?
Confirm the water analysis, household peak-flow requirement and available well-pump/backwash flow. Water Softener Plus can review uncertain applications before purchase.
What warranty applies?
The WaterSoftenerPlus residential warranty provides limited lifetime structural tank coverage, 10-year control-valve-body protection and 5-year electronics protection, subject to the published warranty terms. Parts coverage only; labor, normal wear and media exhaustion are excluded unless expressly covered.
What does shipping cost?
U.S. shipping is free for this system. The displayed price is in USD.
