Removes the calcium & magnesium behind hard-water scale, spotting, dry skin, soap scum, and shortened water-heater life — and only regenerates when your household actually uses the capacity, so you save salt and water.

Why metered (on-demand)?
The 5600SXT counts the gallons you use and regenerates only when needed — not on a fixed timer — so you use less salt and less water than an old clock-based softener. It's the same proven valve trusted in hundreds of thousands of homes.
