How it works — the air injection + softening
The Hard Water + Iron City System uses a two-stage process to solve these problems chemically-free and effectively.
Stage 1 features an air-injection iron and sulfur filter that oxidizes iron and sulfur compounds, transforming dissolved contaminants into particles. These particles are then filtered out, eliminating rust stains and the metallic taste water can develop from iron presence.
Stage 2 is a Fleck 5600SXT water softener that removes hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium. This prevents scale buildup, reduces spotting on dishes, and lessens dry skin caused by hard water.
Each stage is a complete tank unit with its own control head, equipped with bypass valves for easy maintenance. The system is designed for city or shallow-well water with both hardness and iron staining, and includes a water test, installation guide, and expert sizing support.
Regeneration for the softener occurs automatically, using salt to flush hardness minerals out of the resin, while the iron filter operates without chemicals, requiring minimal upkeep.
