Description

PVC Bushing, Schedule 80, 1/2" Socket x 3/8" FIPT is a reducing fitting that adapts a 1/2" slip (socket) connection down to a 3/8" female threaded port. Schedule 80 PVC offers a heavier wall than Schedule 40 for added strength in pressurized plumbing.

Reducing bushings like this let you step a 1/2" PVC line down to a 3/8" threaded takeoff for gauges, small valves, sensors, drain lines, or instrument connections. The socket side is solvent-cemented into a 1/2" fitting or pipe, while the 3/8" FIPT accepts a male-threaded component. Use PVC primer and cement rated for Schedule 80 on the slip joint, apply thread sealant to the FIPT connection, and confirm both port sizes match your existing plumbing before assembly.
