AIO Sulfur Media, Tank€460,95

Description

The AIO Sulfur Media and Tank provides the filtration bed and vessel for an air-injection sulfur filter, targeting rotten-egg odor in well water.

  • Sulfur-oxidizing media loaded into a mineral tank for use with an air-injection oxidation (AIO) valve
  • Captures the hydrogen sulfide that has been oxidized by the air pocket carried in the tank above the bed
  • Chemical-free operation using air rather than chlorine or peroxide to control sulfur odor
  • Media and tank ship together as a matched charge, ready for a control valve
  • Approximate shipping weight around 43 lb reflects the media fill
  • Swapping in fresh media revives odor control when an aging bed stops keeping up

This component is meant for assembling or servicing a Connected Series AIO sulfur system, whether replacing spent media or building a new filter. Choose your tank size below and it is sized free to your water so the media volume matches your flow and the strength of the sulfur odor. It treats hydrogen sulfide by oxidation and filtration and does not soften hardness; combine it with the correct air-injection control valve to finish the system.

Targeting rotten-egg odor

This media-and-tank package is configured for hydrogen-sulfide removal, the source of the rotten-egg smell that plagues many well supplies. In an air-injection system the media oxidizes dissolved sulfide as water passes through the oxygen pocket, converting it to a filterable form that the bed captures and then flushes away on backwash, all without chlorine or other chemicals.

Practical ownership

Because it self-backwashes, the system asks little of you once installed beyond occasional checks. Sulfide levels and pH both influence performance, so we size the bed to your measured numbers, ship the media and mineral tank ready to assemble, and help you tune the backwash schedule so the odor stays gone rather than creeping back between cycles.

Keeping odor gone for the long run

Sulfide chemistry can shift with the seasons and with well drawdown, so a system that is sized with a little headroom tends to hold up better than one built to the bare minimum. If your odor is severe or comes and goes, tell us and we will build in that margin, and we will explain how the air-draw and backwash timing work together so you can keep the water fresh year-round.
