Total Well — Complete Chlorination Whole-Home System

The problem
Well water often contains a harmful mix of contaminants including heavy iron, sulfur, hardness, acidity, and bacteria. These elements cause unpleasant odors, staining, corrosion, and potential health risks.
Untreated well water can lead to blue-green staining, pipe corrosion, and an unsafe water supply that affects your entire home—from showers to kitchen taps.
The Total Well system is specifically designed to handle this complex water problem by delivering clean, soft, and disinfected water throughout your residence, protecting your plumbing and your family's health.
How it works — the multi-stage filtration
The Total Well system uses a multi-stage process combining chlorination, filtration, neutralization, softening, ultraviolet sterilization, and reverse osmosis to treat your entire home's water supply.
First, a metering chlorinator pump injects a precise dose of chlorine to oxidize heavy iron and sulfur compounds and kill bacteria. The treated water then holds in a retention tank to allow full chlorine contact time for effective oxidation and disinfection.
Next, a catalytic carbon filter removes spent chlorine and the oxidized iron and sulfur particles. An acid neutralizer raises the water's pH to prevent blue-green staining and copper pipe corrosion. A high-quality metered water softener removes water hardness, protecting plumbing and improving soap performance. A whole-house UV sterilizer provides chemical-free final disinfection by eliminating 99.99% of remaining bacteria and viruses. Finally, the under-sink reverse osmosis system delivers bottled-quality drinking water at your kitchen tap.
Each stage includes complete tanks with control heads and bypass valves for easy maintenance, plus a free water test strip and expert sizing support. The chlorinator pump comes with a durable 35-gallon solution tank. Regeneration and maintenance vary by component but are straightforward with included guides and videos.

Frequently asked questions
How does chlorination work in this system?
The metered chlorinator pump injects a precise chlorine dose that oxidizes heavy iron and sulfur and kills bacteria. The water then sits in a retention tank to allow the chlorine to fully react before filtration.
Why is an acid neutralizer included?
Well water can be acidic, causing blue-green staining and copper pipe corrosion. The calcite acid neutralizer raises the pH to prevent these issues and protect your plumbing.
What is the role of the UV sterilizer?
The whole-house UV sterilizer provides chemical-free final disinfection by eliminating 99.99% of bacteria and viruses in your water supply.
Does this system remove hardness?
Yes, a metered water softener stage removes hardness minerals, improving water quality and protecting plumbing and appliances.
Is reverse osmosis included?
Yes, the system includes a Nelsen Classic Reverse Osmosis unit under the sink, delivering bottled-quality drinking water at your kitchen faucet.
What maintenance is required?
Each stage includes components with bypass valves and comes with install guides and videos. Regular maintenance involves checking and replenishing chlorine solution, replacing filters, softener regeneration, and periodic RO membrane changes.
