Beschreibung
This Pentair Fleck 1" DLFC is a drain line flow control rated at 15.0 GPM for use with 7000 and 5810/5812 valves plumbed with a 1" drain line. The DLFC is the small button that fixes the backwash and rinse flow rate to the drain, regardless of household water pressure, so the media bed is cleaned and resettled correctly during every regeneration. It is part of the Fleck DLFC service family and is matched to the 5810/5812 valve platform.
Why a Fixed Drain Flow Matters
During backwash, water flows up through the resin or filter media to lift, expand, and rinse the bed, carrying away accumulated sediment and redistributing the media. Too little flow won't lift and clean the bed properly, leaving it packed and channeled; too much flow can over-expand the bed and wash media right out the drain. A 15.0 GPM DLFC holds the rate exactly where the system needs it for proper bed expansion, and because it is a self-compensating orifice, it maintains that rate even as your incoming water pressure fluctuates throughout the day.
- Genuine Fleck 1" drain line flow control
- Fixed 15.0 GPM backwash and rinse rate
- For Fleck 7000 and 5810/5812 valves
- Maintains correct media bed expansion
- Compensates automatically for varying inlet pressure
- Prevents media loss from over-fast backwash
The correct DLFC rating depends on your tank diameter and the type of media in it, since different media require different backwash flow rates to fluidize properly. If you've recently replaced media, changed tank size, or noticed that your backwash seems weak or excessive, verify that the DLFC rating matches your system specifications. A cracked, missing, or wrong-rated DLFC is a common cause of erratic regeneration, dirty media, or media washing to drain. This 15.0 GPM, 1" version is sized for larger tanks; confirm it matches your tank and media before installing, and inspect the drain line and elbow for debris during service so the flow control can do its job. Because the DLFC is inexpensive yet directly controls how well the media is cleaned each cycle, keeping the correctly rated button on hand is a simple way to protect both your media investment and the long-term performance of the system.
