How it works
An oxidizing catalytic media (Katalox-Light / greensand-plus) converts dissolved iron and manganese into a filterable form and traps it, then the valve backwashes the bed clean on a schedule. Air-injection or a light peroxide feed handles higher levels — no ongoing chemicals at moderate concentrations.
